How to choose fishing spot for sea fish in different water layers?

Category: Lucky News
The sea fish in different water layers have different seabed topography that they like to inhabit. Those differences are roughly as follows:

(1) Bottom layer fish

Bottom layer fish, such as catfish, black sea bream, and perch. They are quick to respond and are good at launching sudden attacks on weak and small targets. Therefore, they require obstacles in their habitat to hide their whereabouts.

The sea areas with obstacles include: the terrain with deep trenches and submerged reefs, as well as the confluence of salt and fresh water formed at the mouth of the river, the shallow inner bay with the canine teeth of submarine reefs, and the large reef groups connected to the mud beach, water diversion and drainage culverts for tidal flat aquaculture, the roots of piers and dams, and the mouth of the channel.

The more “dirty, messy, and poor” these terrains are, the better, because the ocean current flows slowly here, and there is plenty of marine life attached. Weak bait fish will inevitably gather here, so this is a best place where fish inhabit and forage.

However, it should be noted that there are few bottom layer fish on the sandy seabed, even if there are individual marine fish, they are pitifully small.

(2) Pelagic fish

Pelagic fish have relatively loose requirements on seabed geology. As long as the water quality is clean and the water level reaches the standard, they will be there. In particular, mackerel and small filet have a soft spot for this type of water and often live in groups here.

The difference is that mackerel is a fish with obvious migratory rules and migratory seasons, while small scales are more alert and respond very quickly to changes in weather conditions. If the habitat in the sea area is about to change, then they will immediately disappear without a trace.

Therefore, the choice of fishing ground for anglers not only depends on the season, but also on the habitat habits of the main fishing species. Of course, the water quality standards, meteorological conditions, and tidal laws cannot be ignored.
